The logo for the event. Was included on all branding and products for the birthday party.
A logo done for the client for personal use - was included in the project package.
The front of the record sleeve designed to hold the record invitation. Unfortunately, the only pictures I could use were low-rez examples from the client, some no more than 50px in size. The client was pleased with the result, but I'd have loved to go back and photograph him personally.
The back of the sleeve. Again, the client insisted on using this picture. While it wasn't my first choice, I do have to admit it captures his energy and personality.
The label that went on the record. Finding the right size label for the records he had was a pain, but we eventually settled on CD labels; they fit just fine.
The "Prelude Invitation" - aka, the invite for the party before the party. You have to admit, guy knows how to have fun.
The actual party invitation. The invite was double-sided, and was probably the most fun I've had in InDesign for a long, long time.
A picture of the actual prelude card!

The back of the RSVP card included with the package.
The invite sleeve, in all its glory.
The record label on the record. Think it turned out pretty good.
"EP FIVE-O" 50th BIRTHDAY INVITATION
Freelance work for a client who wanted to celebrate his 50th birthday with a bang! The project revolved around a "Motown" theme, and involved not only graphic design, but a little product ingenuity. Everything had to have a musical edge to it, from the logo to the invitation itself.
The end result was one of the most interesting and rewarding pieces I've done. While there are some things I'd have done differently now, the client was happy, and so was I.
