Sometimes you just gotta have fun. These characters were born after looking at too much Invisibles concept art and spending too many hours playing with shapes. My intention was to "attach" the characters to one color or shade, then try to let the color and shape clue in as much of the character's personality as possible. The result was The Child, The Assassin, The Star, The Professor, and The Rebel.

I may use these characters in some project later, and I'm likely going to add more to this menagerie as I go along. For now, it's an excellent example of both my Illustrator and concepting skills.
